About Sequoyah Riding StablesLocated adjacent to Western Hills Guest Ranch in Sequoyah State Park, we offer horseback riding, carriage rides, hay rides and pony rides for people of all skill levels. During the summer, send your little cowpokes over for our Horse Camp, where kids can learn important horse care and riding skills. Our riding stables are located inside Sequoyah State Park, across the street from the golf course clubhouse, on Highway 51 between Tahlequah and Wagoner. Visit google for a map to see where it is, but use our directions to get to the park. The mapquest and google directions are misleading. Directions From Tulsa: Take the Broken Arrow Expressway (turns into Muskogee Turnpike) down to Exit 13 (this is the Wagoner-Coweta exit). Turn left onto Hwy. 51 East. You'll go about 7 miles and drive thru the town of Wagoner. Continue on Hwy. 51, and the park is located 9 miles east of Wagoner. (There's one tricky spot - after you get thru the main part of town, Hwy. 51 actually turns right at the light just past Fred's store - watch for the signs). After you cross over a bridge, the entrance to the park is about 3/4 of a mile on the right. The stables are located inside the park, across from the golf course. From Tahlequah: take Hwy 51 West. The park is located about 16 miles west of Tahlequah on the left. The stables are located inside the park, across from the golf course. From Muskogee: either take Hwy. 69 North to Hwy. 51, then go 9 miles east on 51, OR you can take Hwy. 16 North, then turn right, or east on Hwy. 51 and go about 8 miles. It'll be on the right after the bridge. The stables are located inside the park, across from the golf course. Run by the husband-and-wife team of Larry and MaryLynn Lufkin, we've been in the horse business for over 20 years. Give us a call and we'll show you and your group how to have some Western fun!
