Horse Activities Just for Kids

Let your children learn about horses in two unique ways

We offer two fun ways for kids to learn about horses -- the Lil' Wrangler program for young cowpokes and the Horse Camp and Advanced Horse Camp for older ones.

Both programs give kids an age-appropriate chance to learn all about horses and have a good time doing it.

Help your kids learn about horses with Horse Camp.

Lil' Wrangler Program

Designed for the younger cowboy, the Lil' Wrangler program runs on Saturdays from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., all summer long.

It includes some instruction on riding, your choice of a bandana or cowboy hat, a hot dog, chips and drink, a pony ride, and a polaroid picture - all for only $12.00!

Send all the children down for a fun time! (Must be a minimum of at least 3 people, sign up at the rec. hall.)

When: All summer long
Time: 12:00am-1:00pm
Cost: $12.00

Help your kids learn about riding and horses at Horse Camp.

Horse Camp

Kids will learn the basics of horsemanship, including riding, parts of saddle and tack, parts of a horse, how to care for a horse, some fun activities and much more.

There will be a mid-morning snack and drink provided each day. You must have your child there by 8:00 a.m. and they will be ready to be picked up at 12:00 noon. This is a great opportunity for the kids to learn all about horses, and how to ride. But hurry, it's filling up fast!

When: June 9-13, 2008
Time: 8:00am-12:00pm
Cost: $185

Advanced Horse Camp

This camp is for ages 10 - 15 and the regular Horse Camp is a pre-requisite for Advanced Horse Camp. Having learned the basics, we will concentrate more on advanced riding skills, handling the horse at a faster pace, competitive riding, and learning some cowboying skills, among other things.

When: June 16-20, 2008
Time: 8:00am-12:00pm
Cost: $200
